Manchester United fans were left concerned on Tuesday night as star midfielder Paul Pogba left Old Trafford on crutches after coming off injured in the Reds’ 3-0 win against FC Basel.
As Man United returned to the UEFA Champions League after an absence of almost two years, Pogba captained the side in his debut for the club in Europe’s elite competition.
His night didn’t last long, being replaced after 19 minutes by Marouane Fellaini, who went onto open the scoring, after a hamstring injury.
Manager José Mourinho admitted he does not know the severity of the injury, but his French midfielder was seen leaving the stadium on crutches after the game.
