Alexis Sanchez was the first out for training on a rainy day at Carrington as the Chilean prepares for Manchester United’s clash with Sevilla on Tuesday night.
The 29-year-old has struggled to have an impact in front of goal since arriving over the January transfer window, scoring just once in nine appearances.
But his performance during the 2-1 win over Liverpool was the most convincing so far, with the forward rapidly moving the ball through the lines and supplying a wondrous cross for Juan Mata, whose bicycle kick attempt went narrowly wide.
And Sanchez has made a statement by heading out for training – which was open to public viewing for the first half an hour – earlier than anyone else.
