Davide Petrucci still has aspirations of playing for Manchester United’s first team and has joined Royal Antwerp on loan to help improve his chances of breaking into David Moyes’ side.
The 21-year-old has had a really tough few years playing for United’s U21s. Injuries have hampered his progress towards the first team and his impressive loan spell at Peterborough last season was cut short because of yet another injury.
Despite his misfortunes, Petrucci has remained upbeat about the future and is looking forward to gaining first team experience at Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s Royal Antwerp where United youngsters such as Jonny Evans, Luke Giverin and Gyliano van Velzen have all spent time in the past.
