Paul Pogba will have a scan on his hamstring after limping out of Manchester United’s 3-0 win over FC Basel on Tuesday night.
The Frenchman, handed the captain’s armband for the first time in his senior career, saw his evening cruelly cut short with just 16 minutes on the clock after he overstretched for the ball and felt a twinge in his hamstring.
He took a few nervy paces before signalling to the bench and dropping to the floor; his replacement, Maroaune Fellaini, produced a superb display, claiming a goal and an assist as Man United cruised to a 3-0 win over the Swiss champions.
And according to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old will have a scan on his hamstring later today to determine the exact severity of his injury.
