After Gareth Barry Scored in injury time for Manchester City on Saturday evening, the gap was down to three points as United travelled to South Wales for a clash with Michael Laudrup’s ever improving Swansea team. Despite playing well on the day United and Sir Alex were left annoyed at the inability to punish Swansea in the second half.
It all started well enough though, United were in control for much of the first half, with the fantastic Michael Carrick pulling the strings along with Tom Cleverley in the centre of the midfield. United’s domination of possession finally counted for something after 15 minutes when Patrice Evra rose to head in a Van Persie corner.
