Manchester United have identified Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp as the man to eventually replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford, reports the Daily Mirror.
The United hierarchy are impressed by Klopp, who led Dortmund to consecutive Bundesliga titles before guiding them to the Champions League final this season.
Dortmund’s success has been coupled by an exciting brand of attacking football and spearheaded by a group of talented homegrown players.
The Red Devils have reportedly been monitoring Klopp’s progress for some time but are concerned that the 45-year-old may be snapped up by a rival club, with Ferguson still yet to pick a date for retirement.
