Manchester United target Danny Rose has released a statement apologising for remarks made in a recent interview in which he questioned Tottenham Hotspur’s ambition and inability to win trophies.
The 27-year-old, speaking to the Sun, criticised the club for not signing a single player this summer and expressed a desire to play ‘up north’ at some point in his career, whilst also protesting about not receiving the wage he deserves.
Jose Mourinho wants a new left back this summer after failing to find a consistent performer in that role last season and has reportedly kept an eye on Rose as a potential option.
But the 27-year-old, probably at the request of Spurs, has released a statement to apologise for his ‘ill-judged’ comments towards his club.
