Manchester United are finally back in Champions League. Following an absence of two years, United made an impressive return to Champions League as they defeated Swiss side Basel 3-0 in their group-opener at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
In a rather comfortable group, which also includes Benfica and CSKA Moscow, United are favourites to finish the top spot, and their win over Basel further cemented their credentials in their group.
Romelu Lukaku was once again on the target while Marouane Fellaini and Marcus Rashford also managed to put their names on the scoresheet. However, the win over Swiss champions came at a huge price for the Red Devils as they lost midfielder Paul Pogba to a hamstring injury in the first half of the game.
