Manchester United are willing to table the €40m needed to bring Sergi Roberto to Old Trafford this summer, according to reports.
The Spaniard, who received his footballing education at La Masia, broke into the Barcelona senior set-up in 2010 enjoyed his finest season yet under Luis Enrique last term, making 47 appearances.
Ernesto Valverde’s arrival this summer, along with Nelson Semedo coming in to feature at right back (Roberto’s main position last season), has threatened to jeopardise a regular place in the starting XI for this season.
And according to Spanish media outlet Sport, United, Chelsea and Juventus have expressed a willingness to pay his €40m release clause over the next few weeks.
