Manchester United have made preliminary enquiries for Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and former red Javier Hernandez as they look to boost their options up front over January, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho has also entered the race to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, trumping Manchester City’s offer of £25m and reportedly offering the Chilean £250,000 a week.
Concern surrounding the striker position at Old Trafford comes following doubts over Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s ability to shake off a knee injury after he was ruled out for a month with the same problem.
And according to the Telegraph‘s James Duncker, Man United have made preliminary enquiries for Vardy and Hernandez, with the latter firmly on the periphery under David Moyes.
