Luke Shaw has expressed his delight after scoring the winning goal as Manchester United defeated a dangerous Leicester City side 2-1 in the 2018-19 Premier League curtain-raiser at Old Trafford.
Not only was it the deciding goal on a huge night for Man United following the disappointment of the summer transfer window, but it was also Shaw’s first of his career and he hasn’t played down his delight one bit.
The 23-year-old played one of his best games in a United shirt which earnt him the official Man of the Match award, and he described scoring in front of the Stretford End as the “best feeling” in his promising career to date.
