Marcus Rashford earned praise from Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard after netting on his UEFA Champions League debut for Manchester United, in a 3-0 victory against FC Basel.
The striker has now scored on debuts in the UEFA Europa League, Premier League, EFL Cup, UEFA Champions League, and on his international debut for England.
Gerrard, a pundit on BT Sport for Man United’s win against Basel, praised the 19-year-old, while aiming a quick dig at United.
“He’s got a huge future ahead of him. It’s great that he’s English,” Gerrard said, having captained England for some years.
“Not so good that he’s a United player from my point of view,” he joked.
