Manchester United’s failures in the summer transfer window has led to some criticism of David Moyes but Kenny Dalglish has jumped to United’s defence in his Daily Mirror column.
Bids to bring Cesc Fabregas, Ander Herrera and Sami Khedira all failed to materialise with Marouane Fellaini’s arrival the only first team addition by Moyes this summer.
Dalglish has pointed to David Gill’s departure rather than the shortfalls of Moyes in his first transfer window as United manager as a major factor in why the club had such poor negotiations this summer.
