Research by football ticket company Ticketgum.com has revealed how many tickets each top flight side would need to flog in order to earn back the money they spent on new players in the 2017 summer window.
Using a figure of £30 as the average price of the cheapest adult home ticket across the top flight, the research shows that Stoke would only need to sell 830,000 tickets to recoup the money they spent to bring in the likes of Kevin Wimmer this summer.
Three clubs would actually need to sell over 5 million £30 tickets to recoup the cash.
