From Spain: Real Madrid and Zidane really panicking that Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving


Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane will make efforts to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at the Bernabeu after the Ballon D’Or holder requested to leave this summer, according to reports from Spain.
Sources at Sky Sports confirmed on Friday that the 32-year-old, amid allegations of tax fraud, no longer wanted to play in Spain after eight campaigns with Los Blancos.
It was recently revealed that Madrid, in response, had placed a £174.5m price tag on the Portuguese’s signature – almost twice the amount shelled out for the world record transfer of Paul Pogba last season.
And Spanish outlet Marca have claimed that Zidane, soon after hearing the news, personally called Ronaldo in an attempt to understand the reasons behind his sudden desire to leave.
