While this weekend’s Premier League action wowed fans with big upsets and smashing matches, there were some unfortunate, big-name injuries that could have an impact on the table for the near future.
Arguably the best match of the weekend belonged to Newcastle United and Chelsea as the Blues, who currently sit third in the table, had a chance to pick up crucial points at St. James’ Park. The Magpies went into Saturday’s match fifteenth in table, struggling to stay above the relegation zone, but with their five new French signings, the squad looked more like the 2011-2012 Newcastle team that finished fifth at the end of the season.
