Manchester United’s executive vice chairman Ed Woodward has expressed his satisfaction with the club’s progress under Jose Mourinho this season at an investors call on Thursday.
Mourinho’s men finished the Premier League campaign in second place with 81 points and have a chance to claim their third piece of silverware in two years against Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The transfer window for Premier League teams is now officially open – earlier than normal due to the window closing on the eve of the 2018/19 campaign – and attention will soon move towards Woodward and his team as they look to make key additions to the squad over the summer.
