Cristiano Ronaldo has pleaded with his agent Jorges Mendes to force through a return to Manchester United this summer after deciding to leave Real Madrid, according to reports.
The 32-year-old, following eight seasons at the Bernabeu, made an “irreversible” decision to leave Madrid amid allegations over tax fraud.
Manager Zinedine Zidane will attempt to persuade Ronaldo, valued at £174.5m, to remain in La Liga, but the forward has pin-pointed Old Trafford as his preferred next destination.
And according to the Sun‘s Martin Lipton, the Portuguese will encourage Mendes, who happens to also be Jose Mourinho’s agent, to force through a move to Old Trafford.
