Manchester United’s Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov stated on a social networking site his disappointment at being denied a chance to prove his worth at Old Trafford.
The 31 year old who moved to United in the summer of 2008 from Tottenham for a club record fee of £30m has found himself spending most of the time on the bench as Sir Alex Ferguson opted for Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck as partners to Wayne Rooney up front. The former Leverkusen frontman could only manage 12 appearances last season and has grown frustrated with the lack of first team opportunities.
However, the player insists that he still loves the club but would prefer a move away in his personal interest.
