5. Santi Cazorla
After splashing the cash on both Giroud and Podoslki, Wenger decided it was best to fill the void of an attacking midfielder, given the injuries to Rosicky. They decided that Cazorla was the best option. At a fee of just £16 million, the Gunners looked to have snared themselves a beauty from cash strapped Malaga (who purchased him for £18 million a year earlier). He hasn’t disappointed either, with some outstanding link up play, complemented by classy footwork and scorching 35 yard finishes (see West Ham). A tally that stands at 7 goals and 4 assists in the premier league speaks for itself, given that we’re just half way through the season, and earns Cazorla 5th spot on my Most Successful Transfers list.
